NAU21 had the pleasure to attend the “Ring the Bell for Gender Equality” symbolic ceremony, a joined initiative promoted by United Nations Global Compact and Euronext, which aims to raise awareness about the business case for women’s economic empowerment and the opportunities for the private sector to advance gender equity and sustainable development.

This year’s theme – “Invest in women: Accelerate progress” – focuses on empowering women to drive positive changes, thus accelerating progress.

The event’s call to action incentivized the urgency to create strategic investment and collaborative alliances to attract women into the private sector. The panels included representatives from ICMA – International Capital Market Association, Women’s Empowerment Principles from United Nations Global Compact, BPI, Millennium BCP and Corticeira Amorim apart from our hosts, Euronext and UN Global Compact.
