DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality

In celebration of the International Women’s Day and its 2023 campaign theme: #EmbraceEquity, NAU21 attended the event “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”. It was organized by Euronext in partnership with the UN Global Compact Network. The panels included a Fireside Chat about “Diversion and inclusion in technology”, a discussion panel focused on ongoing initiatives to prepare girls and women for the tech world, a presentation of WEPs – Women’s Empowerment Principles, and a message from the Secretary of State for Equality and Migration. The final keynotes were led by Mário Parra da Silva, President of the Global Compact Network Portugal, followed by the bell ceremony to Ring the Bell for Gender Equality, an initiative created to raise awareness about the business case for women’s economic empowerment and the opportunities for the private sector to advance gender equity and sustainable development.
